Well i have a Canon eos rebel k2 35mm slr camera and im wondering if the lens that came on it would fit the SLR canon digital rebel? What im wanting to do is just buy the body of the digital rebel and use the lens off the 35mm one. Any insight into this will help. Just figure there is no point of having two of the same lenses around. Thank you for your time!!

  1. Remember that unless you get a full frame Canon camera, the focal length has to be multiplied by 1.6, as the sensor is a bit smaller than a frame of a negative. So a 100 mm lens is 160 mm.

  2. Yes, any lenses that you have that work on your K2 will be the "EF Mount" style lens. The rebel DSLR series of cameras have an EF-S style mount that will support your EF lenses and the newer EFS ones.

  3. The Digital Rebels all use EF and EF-S lenses.
