SM entertainment global auditions 2008!!!!

Question

I want to audition for the SM entertainment in september

but I've never auditioned before so I want to know the basic guidelines

1. do you have to email them first??? will they contact you with more audition info??

2. what do you do there? you just sing and dance??

3. do we have to take our own music for freestyle dance?? or do they have that ready??

4. when do you find out the results?? and what happens if you pass the auditions??

5. how many people do they choose from each city??

6. do you stay here or do you have to go with them if you sign the contract and everything??

hi, im christine and im korean ^^ im thinking of auditioning in LA. the biggest question im wondering too is if we stay here or we follow them to korea? i really need a answer for that. i hope sumone can answer our questions!

yea you email them then they send a mail back to you saying they'll update you with all the dates and times. it depends on what you want to do; there's singing, dancing, modeling, lyrics/songwriter, and acting. i applied for singing but my friend said i also have to dance. i m still not sure about the music, i'll have to ask my friend about that...they'll probably post up the results at the place where you auditioned and if you pass the audition you'll have to sign a contract and be on your way to stardom!!! after you sign the contract you'll probably have to train in the states for a few years then go to korea. IM AUDITIONING!!!

my friend said that maybe DBSK will be the judges...i would probably have fainted before singing :D

after your e-mail application, prepare to wait for quite a while. At least for most people. After that it depends on whether you are in or not.

For SM town image and dance are more important than your singing ability. I recommend YG ( more hard to get into ) if you belive that you are a good singer but lack image qualities.

So, YES they look at good looking people.

You can sing in any languages.

I personally recommend good pop song or korean songs.

Oh and for YG, they look for good pop songs.

Again they look for dance more than singing for sm.

So, yes dance like a butterfly and sting like a bee.

Can't say they are nice. Depends on their mood, you know.

Let's just say it's matter of luck...

Auditions are pretty much a competition. A big one if i may say.

But from my experiance it's all in your genes if you want to be a singer in korea. If you are not their "type" of image then you are out unless you sing like charice.

Even if you look like a model and have the wrong nose, eyes, a bit round chin, be prepared to fix them.. or you can say no and be at other companies other than sm.

The new concept that is slowly starting to rise among companies is age. Younger you are, the better. I say 14-16 is good age. Keep that in mind.

For what it's worth, it's not worth it.
