can anyone explain what causes the snmp mib to reload and produce system uptimes that don't correlate to system uptimes pulled from the OS command ,, ie monitoring a host using snmp,,, snmp shows uptime of under 40 minutes,,, however logging into host and running uptime command shows 200 days,,, asked networking guru answer was "MIBS reloaded" ,,, why,,, when,,, is this logged?

reason i ask is I need a way to explain this when it happends =)

  1. The query is probably returning the snmp daemon process uptime, rather than the system uptime.
