I honestly couldn't say for sure. I would say it's between A and D, but they are both closely interrelated.

This is a bit of a trick question.  At least two of these answers could have an affect.  The two we are dealing with are one's place of residence and the way one earns his/her living (A or D).  Therefore we can eliminate religion and the size of a family (which may play an important part in other countries systems but certainly not in the United States' system of stratification.  Now ask yourself, which of the two is more so associated with stratification?  Does a larger house in a neighbourhood make you higher up in society or does the amount you earn/salary make you a more well off individual in society.  

Out of these two, I would have to say that the salary/job occupation one has is a better indicator of one's position in the stratification system in the united states simply because it is a more structured system (i.e. A doctor making $200 000 a year would be considered in blank category of wealth and society), than place of residence.
