  1. uhh, unless you live in asia or way northern Canada, you won't be seeing the solar eclipse.

  2. Take two pieces of white cardboard and punch a small hole in one of them.  When the eclipse happens, hold the cardboard with the hole in it about 8 inches to a foot away from the other board.  You will see an image of the eclipse projected onto the opposite cardboard.

  3. 8-1-08 can't be seen from the USA.

Here is the NASA eclipse site.

This is their site for eye safety:

Dont bother with the glasses because you cant see it anyway.  Those glasses are not good by the way.

Next TOTAL solar eclipse in the USA will be in 2017

  4. um my dad is a welder, so if you happen to know a welder you can just wear one of those masks , they look like this http://img.tomshardware.com/us/myimages/...

kinda weird looking, i know but at least you dont have to buy any equipment.

and you can only see the eclispe if you live in arcitic canada, greenland, siberia, mongolia, and russia

    bummer. :[

  5. just use very dark sunglasses.

  6. Buy some UV protection sunglasses.

  7. A welding mask is good.  But when I was in second grade, there was an eclipse and they told us to take a piece of paper and make a pin hole in it.  Then when we were all standing in the playground staring through pin holes, the sun went behind a cloud just as the eclipse occurred.  I can't guarentee how safe it really is, but they were certainly opening themselves up to lawsuits by telling us that in school, and no one lost any retinas.

BTW I think you can just buy replacement welding mask filters at hardware stores.  I'm not exactly sure of that, and I don't feel like running to one to find out.
