SONY KLV30HR LCD TV RED EFFECTS

I HAVE A SONY KLV 30" LCD TV AND WHEN IT IS SWITCHED ON THE BACKLIGHT IS DARK RED INSTEAD OF GREY AND THE PICTURE IMAGES GIVE OFF AN ALMOST PHOTOGRAPHIC NEGATIVE EFFECT IN DARK RED.CAN ANY ONE HELP?BARRY
