  1. I recommend lots of Vitamin C, honey, and Riccola

  2. Honey. and water.

The darker the honey the better.

  3. Apples and apple juice, raisins, shots of olive oil, dark chocolate, soda like diet rite, and tons of water.

the best are apples and apple juice.

tea only dries out the voice.

    Dairy is not bad.

And in my choir the altos are the best ha ha but any way good luck

  4. There is a tea you can buy in the supermarket called Throat Coat. Make sure you brew it covered for 5 minutes before drinking it. That stuff saved me when I was Maria in Sound Of Music and I had laryngitis. I ended up getting a job from someone who saw the show that night.

Rest your voice, and make sure you do a gentle warm up before singing tomorrow. And as for your teacher, take her aside before class and explain to her that you have a sore throat, and that you are a soprano. If she is a professional, she will understand, and will be able to tell the quality of your voice, even while you are sick.

If you rest your voice and take care of your health by drinking plenty of water and eating healthy, you should be back on track for your auditions that are coming up. Also ask your teacher or vocal coach for help and advice for your audition.

  5. Don't talk at all. I'm serious. Your vocal cords need rest.

Ginger brew is the best way to soothe sore throats. Boil a few slices of ginger and drink a glass every three hours or so. Youcan add honey if the taste is too strong for you.

And during the day of the audition itself, give it your best shot even if your throat hurts. You can always heal later after you get the role.

  6. try gargling with mouth wash but don't swallow it. that's what the doc said to use when my 12 year old had strep. she said it felt good and numbed it up. you could try sprays or cough drops. zinc lozenges help alot also. Not sure if it will help by tomorrow but worth a shot. Gargle with salt water if you don't have mouth wash handy. best of luck to you

  7. Try warm water with lemon and also warm water with salt if the lemon don't work. Also relax your vocals for a while until you see that the warm water is working. If not you might just lose your voice.

  8. You need to take a TON of Vitamin C.  There is this stuff at the drug store called "Emergen-C" and it contains a high dosage of Vitamin C in it.  You should also be drinking a lot of water/orange juice/tea to soothe your throat.  Also, while you're at the drug store, get some Halls to suck on to take the edge off of the pain.  You can also take anything with Acetaminophen (aka Tylenol) to reduce discomfort.

Do not sing while your throat is sore!  Rest your chops so everything can heal itself!

  9. With the sore throat, I would say do exactly as everyone else answered. And if you do lose your voice (this will sound weird but it works, recommended by my voice teacher) Eat a baked potato skin and all, it doesn't matter what you put on it, just as long as you eat the whole thing, and you should have your voice back in at least 24 hours. Good Luck!!!!
