I just bought the SP570 olympus digital camera today. When i zoom in all the way and take a picture without the flash, it's all blurry. Is something wrong with my camera or is it just naturally blurry fully zoomed in without the flash?

  1. Nothing wrong with the camera and its not naturally blurry zoomed all the way either.

The reason this could be happening is that you are trying to hold the camera with your hand without the help of a tripod and when zoomed all the way its VERY sensitive to movement.

Another thing you can do is increase the shutter speed, modes such as sports make the shutter speed faster. Remember that the longer the shutter remains open, the more the camera must be totally still if you are not trying to blur the picture on purpose (and providing you are aiming at a still object.)

The flash plays no part in this.

  2. Two things could be happening.

First if you are attempting to use the digital zoom, you have discovered one of the untold features of using digital zoom on a P&S camera.

Second, if you are taking photos at the longest zoom setting (optical or digital) without flash, but in lighting that will cause your camera to use a long shutter speed (1/125th or slower) what you are experiencing is camera movement.
