SPECS speed camera's.......Do they take a picture of the driver?

Question

I think i got caught by a SPEC's speed camera yesterday doing 55 ish on a 50 mph motor way speed enforcement motorway.Does anyone know what the trigger limit is for the SPECs camera on a motorway that has had its speed reduced to a temporary 50mph?

Also

Does anyone know if the picture of the driver is taken?

Of course they do kind of anyway. They might just get your chest area and the top half of your face.

Not sure what trigger limit is, but camera only takes rear view of vehicle for registration number,not the driver.

Specs cameras don't take pictures - they read the registration of every vehicle that passes, and measure the time for the vehicle to go from one camera to the next.

It's your average speed that is measured, not the speed when you pass a camera.

So it's no use slowing down as you pass a camera and then speeding up again - if you cover the distance between the cameras in less time than you would at the speed limit, you're stuffed.

The ticket is in the post within a few minutes of you passing the second camera. Isn't technology wonderful?
