SPIDERS! I found this spider when i was taking out the trash and want to know what kind it is.?

Ok, so this spider had a brown body, and it's legs were striped white and black, it was all scrunched together, like it was sleeping, and it was probably the size of a quarter. Do u know wat kind it was?

The legs scrunched together sounds like a defensive hiding response that all spiders will do, but are most noted in cobweb spiders, which will drop out of their web and ball up to look inconspicuous when there is no easy place to run and hide.

On that note, I would take a wild guess that it is a common house spider, /Parasteatoda tepidariorum/.

These are common spiders in garages and sheds that belong to the same family as the widow spiders, but the venom isn't known to be dangerous.  I would need more info, and preferably a picture, to give a better guess though.  Knowing where you live, where exactly you found the spider, if it built a web and what kind of web it built, and some general shape info (large abdomen or small abdomen compared to the rest of the spider, long or short legs, things like that) would help a lot.

Without knowing your location and having a more accurate description of where the spider was found and a picture, we can't tell you.

From size & colour it could be one of thousands of species.

Possibly and Orb spider or wolf spider.
