********SPIDERS******** are u scared of spiders ?

being scared of snakes,rats,wild animals has a reasonable cause ... but why so many people are scared of spiders ???

Spiders are your domestic household arachnids... they are everywhere just like that of the cockroach.  Even though we may deal with them on a day-to-day basis, coming to terms with the bugs are scary as you know they are in every crook and cranny especially when you are asleep!...

I'm not scared of spiders, my boyfriend is though, he screams like a girl whenever he sees one!

I don't understand why paople are scared of snakes, rat's and lizards etc!

Because at night when you are sleeping and you get that funny feeling you are being watched and you open your eyes and you see little green lights above your head and you turn on the lights, you will see an ugly, hairy brown and black ball, and that is enough to consider the critter an enemy.

Also, trying to catch me early in the morning coming from the creek....eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkk...

People are probably afraid because they are ugly, small, and can be anywhere at any time. Also because some of them are dangerous.

It depends on what kind! There are thousands. I am scared of one spider I know to be local, the brown recluse. I used to wake up with 10 bits a night from black jumping spiders when I was a kid, and this didn't really bother me too much, but the brown recluse, dang, that thing is just evil! I've had the babies run up and take a bite out of me and then run off! The big ones are really sick, they'll numb up your skin so you can't feel it when they eat away at a big chunk of flesh while you sleep. I worked with a guy who lost 2 dime sized holes of flesh from his ankle. eughhh!!! gahh!!! erg!

Because they are everywhere.  And oh yeah, they creep up the drain when your having a shower or bath!  I don't like things that don't respect my space, and that includes spiders.

I'm not scared of spiders, in fact, I LOVE spiders (go ahead, call me a creep). I think people are afraid of spiders because they know that they can bite. If a spider is small enough, then you have no idea where it is. One time when I was camping, I woke up one morning and realized I had been bitten in the face. A spider had crawled into my shirt when it was hanging on the clothesline and when I put it on, it was still there but I didn't realize it. I didn't feel it bite me either. I think that when people here about stuff like this, that is when they get really freaked out.

because they are creepy looking, and they bite, and i am afraid they will jump on me and because they are so small i may not be able to see where they are on me.

A spider, depending on the species, can kill you.  Spiders that can kill me or cause me great pain like a black widow, brown recluse, or any other deadly species gives me the creeps.

my only fear of spiders would be that they happen to crawl into my mouth while Im sleeping or something outlandish that I would have no control over, but there scenarios are incredibly rare and could happen with any creature so i have no particular fear of spiders. Exterminating them is far too easy for me to be fearful.

i think ppl are scared of bugs in general....i read somewhere that in the span of a lifetime that a human eats atleast 9 spiders in their sleep....just some food 4 thought...lol

I think it's because we know in general spiders can bite and are poisonous. We don't know the ones that are not. They move suddenly and are unpredictable.
