Question:

SQA Exam Appeals

I was wondering if someone can help me understand the SQA appeals system slightly better.

I am a straight credit pupil. I got five 1s and four 2s in my exams.

two of the 2s where un-expected however. I had expected to get 1s for these. I was in hospital with appendicitis the day before my first exam. Will I be able to appeal for a 1 in this or will they not take much notice for such a small jump? I think I should be allowed to considering my condition and I had not been allowed the day to revise due to being in hospital.

Also, with my being weak for the other exam, will I be allowed to appeal in this?

Thanks xx

  1. DON'T open the link in the answer after me!

Do people taking Standard Grade get Prelims at Christmas? Sorry, I took Intermediates. You could ask for the Prelim results if they were better.

It is always worth a try, so I would appeal to the SQA. Probably best to get advice off a teacher first.

You got some good results. Hope this helps, good luck.
