My social security number ends in 30, and I was supposed to have my stimulus check either directly deposited or mailed to be by May 30th. It's June 12th...what's the deal? Anyone else having this kind of trouble? I'm eligible for it because I filed taxes for 2007, am not claimed by anyone as a dependent...so what gives? I'm scared that I'm not getting my money and it's helping to pay for my wedding!

  1. The reason you have not received your check is because it has not been sent yet.  When it is sent you will receive it a few days later.  There is nothing we can do to speed it up.

  2. If you moves since you filed, and didn't notify the IRS, chances are it was returned to them as undeliverable.  File form 8822 with them to change your address.

Check "where's my stimulus payment" at irs.gov

  3. My social ends in 25 and we are still waiting on our check. The website said that it would be mailed no later then 5/30. I know of at least 10 people that are waiting still with the 5/30 release date also. I hope it comes soon. Good luck!

  4. When did you file your tax return?  If you filed late, your rebate will be delayed.  Did you get a notice from the IRS stating the amount of rebate you were getting and when to expect it?  Did you check the IRS website to see the status of your rebate?  Have you moved or otherwise changed your address?

  5. My last two digits are 30 also, i recieved my letter stating that i should receive it by 6/6/08, but no check. All i can do is wait.

  6. Stop going by the announced schedules.

    Go to irs.gov.

click on where's my refund, then where's my stimulus (twice).

Enter your SSN, filing status and number of exemptions.

When the rebate program actually processes your tax account, the information will update.  THEN and only then will have accurate information.

College student? Are you claimed as a dependent?  Dependents don't get a check.
