1] If I have a PayPal button on my website do I need an SSL certificate?

2] If Im using 'paypalipn.php' do I need an SSL Certificate?

All websites that offers a product for sale should be secured for the following reason:

1) Your customers would feel their privacy is secured and therefore it is safe to register personal information and to buy.

2) Other websites would endorse yours as "safe".

If you use Paypal they have their own security so you don't need it...no info is sent until your customer is on the paypal site
