Does the cling glass stuff work??

i have a opening on ceiling the is 2ft by 4ft an i would love to make a stain glass w/angels .kitchen stuff ,rosses -i am a artist an i paint detail -i painted a chess set -took 6 mths so i know how to paint.i need to how much to get started

You can get glass paint at the craft store that mimics stained glass, as well as "leading lines" that look like the stained glass leading.  It looks really nice when the sun shines through.  There are tricks to getting it to look like stained glass but since you are an artist, I'm sure you will be able to blend the paints so that they look like that lovely swirly stained glass.

Here's a link to a couple of ideas.  Plaid also puts out patterns and books that have window-sized patterns.  I've used them and they are terrific!
