How old do you have to be to work at a Starbucks, if it help it's in Chicago.

i think the fedral labor laws state you have to be atleast 16.  but each company has their own rules.  I know in my town you have to be 18 due to the hot equipment.

Not sure about Chicago's age requirement for jobs but I'd say your first job is kinda a foreshadow to your future careers. So I wouldn't suggest chain coffee barista to be your first job. I see a string of waiting jobs and fast food to follow, try to get hired somewhere more professional, enjoyable, and somewhere you can take what you've learned from it
