STARTING SNOWBOARDING! any TIPS?

Hi

In a few days i am starting snowboarding at our local ski hill. I'm taking about 6 or 7 group lessons (i got these for christmas today). I know that i will fall ALOT on the first day but how can i not look like such a beginner? i want to be kind of good for my self esteem. so can you give me a few tips for starting?

  1. Thats awesome! thats good, take lessons. Well, beginners fall, and non beginners don't, so I'd suggest sitting down and pretending you have a cramp or something everytime you fall,lol. Try to take as much time needed for learning, don't give up, everyone falls so don't worry. Also, theres this site called abc of snowboards

  2. Well to not look like a begginer dont over dress, dont wear sweats, long underwear and jeans. Second dont worry to much about falling its going to happen but as long as you dont get to frustrated you'll be fine. Be proud everytime you accomplish something such as learning to stop, make a turn..etc Remember everyone started out as a begginer, dont give up and you will get good.
