STARTING TO THINK LOTTO IN NY IS FiXED. ESPECIALLY THE SUBSCRIPTION PART OF IT.?

THIS LOTTERY ORGANIZATION IS JUST THAT AN ORGANIZATION THAT WAS ILLIGAL FOR AMERICANS TO DO ON THEIR OWN, BUT THE GOVERNMENT TOOK IT AWAY FROM THE MAFIA AND MADE IT LEGAL TO PLAY NUMBERS PROMICING THAT THE MONEY GOES TO SCHOOL DISTRICTS... I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOUR SCHOOL DISTRICTS BUT HERE IN LONG ISLAND WE NEED TO HAVE FUND RAISERS FOR SPORTS AND THE PROMS AND EVERYTHING ELSE....

WHERE IS THE MONEY GOING???

WHY DO WE HAVE SO MANY WEEKS PASS WITHOUT A JACKPOT WINNER WHEN WE HAVE BILLIONS OF PEOPLE PLAYING...

DO YOU THINK THEY HAVE THE COMPUTERS PICK UNCOMMON NUMBERS THAT IT COMPUTES??

I'VE HAD A SUBSCRIPTION FOR 4 YEARS AND IN THAT 4 YEARS I WON A TOTAL OF 36.00.

SOME OF MY COWORKERS AND I WERE CONVERSING ABOUT THIS AND WE ARE WONDERING WHAT THE REST OF NEW YORKERS THINK.

The odds of winning a lottery like this is over 100m-1.  And I don't think New York State has 'billions' of people playing.

Fact is, when the jackpot gets big, more people buy tickets.  So most lotteries in America have increased the odds of winning by adding extra balls, to make it harder to win.  There is no need to rig anything because the odds of someone guessing the right numbers are so tiny.  The math takes care of it.

Plus if you and your co-workers use common sense, consider how many people would need to be involved to keep a lottery scam a secret.  Do you really imagine that that many people would never get mad or decide to blow the whistle in all those years?

It would be major headline news.  It only takes for one person to become disgruntled or get fired or mad for some reason and go to the press.  Human nature is such that this just wouldn't stay a secret for that long.

I live in Albany  , I don't think it is fixed , it is under the watchful eyes of a world renown accounting firm so it really isn't possible to cheat . There is really no benefit to cheat , if caught no one would ever play again.

I also live on Long Island and although I dont think that its fixed, I do think that playing the Lotto and Mega Money, Take 5, cash 3 & 4 is a waste, the odds are just so high. I do so much better in the casinos or with scratch off cards.

yes. its a scam. It doesnt go to education like they say it does either. I lived in NY all my life, I just moved to TN and trust me, it goes to education here. They make a big deal about it and the spokewoman goes on the radio and the news. The schools here are really over crowed. Some schools have trailers outside to accomadate the kids. But each school looks brand new. It's amazing.
