Question:

STD's and pregnancy?

Are there any women out there who had s*x with someone and got an STD and it ruined your chances of getting pregnant. I already have children and I had s*x with a random guy and he gave me an infection. I was having symptoms for like 3 weeks but none of my symptoms led me to believe I had an STD. I was treated for it and it's cleared up, but now I am afraid my uterus may be ruined and maybe I won't be able to get pregnant. Has anyone ever experienced this? Were you able to get pregnant after wards?

  1. Yes but it never ruined my chances getting pregnant im pregnant right now with my first child no stds can ruin your chances of getting pregnant your uterus is fine stop worrying yourself if you were able to get rid of it then it wasn't that serious in the first place next time don't have s*x with a random boy and if you do use protection s*x is something you share with someone you have a strong love connection with not someone you just met hopefully you learned your lesson because that's what God was trying to do teach you a lesson

  2. it's unlikely that you're uterus was affected.  The big one that can cause infertility if left untreated is chlamydia.  it leads to PIV (pelvic inflammatory disease) which can mess up your reproduction.  3 weeks is really not long enough to let chlamydia go PIV, so I wouldn't worry... in fact, 3 weeks isn't long to go with any STD... again, I wouldn;t worry.

I would call your doc that treated you and ask them to make sure if it's something beside chlamydia, but really, if it's cleared up after just 3 weeks, your chances of permanent damage are slim.

And I strongly doubt that God teaches lessons by giving people STDs... Doesn't sound like the benevolent God that is portrayed in the New Testament or who forgives our sins... if that's how god really works, he's a jerk.
