to ROB us when BARRELS OF OIL ARE GOING DOWN??

Until we stop paying 3.4, 3.90 and so on for gas--the big boys;;Exxon, Citgo, Mobile, BP will be free to scam us out of our money. Not to mention the gas stations who are calibrating their pumps to say you're getting 20 gallons when they've only pumped 15, but charged you for 20.

I am going to buy a scooter for local--and take a train for long distance travel. s***w the oil companies--and the auto industry for not making gas affordable--exporting our own oil to canada and japan!!

SSSSSSTOP DRIVING!!! SO MUCH> MAKE THEM CRUMBLE... Who is with me.??

  1. If you don't want pay the high price then scale down and get a

car which is more efficient ( ie hybrid). Funny how people always complain about price of gas but then live in 400K Mega home with two car garage with  Mega-Van and Suv's.

  2. I've been driving 4 cylinder cars since the late 80's myself. What cheeses me off is that I'm paying for everyone else's overindulgence!

I've got a theory that our foreign suppliers have been stringing us along until we were completely addicted to their cheap oil. Now they are turning the s***w on us all until we (and our allies) fall into the next Great Depression.

  3. I'm with you but heck I'm too afraid to ride a scooter in this town because they don't know how to drive in the first place so I just cut my driving down to nearly nothing and am cleaning my house more and working in the garden!

  4. Just about when the frenzy is almost intolerable it will resolve.  Gas will settle at about 3 per gallon and it will be business as usual for a few years.  Until someone cooks up the next robber baron scheme.

  5. They will stop buying gas when they are broke and bankrupt

  6. Never will happen...................(maybe in 20 -25 years) but not now................we WILL buy gas!!

Last week I paid 4.19 a gallon, and it will keep going up.........

Yes, I do not drive as much etc.  but I must have my car, I do also walk and bike.

  7. Share rides to work with someone(2 for the price of one)

    Pay for 1/2 the gas

    Walk when possible

    Rent Movies

Entertain friends at home(find entertainment at home)

    Buy a motorcycle or scooter

Plan your trips better(shopping on the way home from work

bring a friend) 2 for the price of one

Turn down the heat(put on a sweater

(even if your heats included)Use less

Air Conditioning(turn it up a degree or 2)

    Dresses are cooler

DO WHAT YOU CAN=FIGHT BACK THE PRICES

    Anymore suggestions?

  8. I don't think this world is out of oil or anywhere near out! I don't drive as much as I use to. But where I live you can't just walk to the store or to work for that matter. I live in the Appalachian mountains, so when I do go I try to make every stop count.

  9. Not too many people are with you where I live. People around here drive around shiny SUVs and more Hummers than I've ever seen anywhere before in my entire life. It's pretty messed up....

  10. Electric scooters are best, but the cost more than an average car to buy and the batteries need replacing every so many miles.

There is also E85.  Its 85% alcohol, but isn't that efficient.  E75 is just as efficient as gas but they wont let us buy it.

Chevy used to make one of the best electric cars ever made called the EV-1.  It was an awesome car.  Chevy refused to sell and only leased them to people in California.  After a few years, Chevy recalled them and crushed them all claiming that nobody was buying them.  Of course, they couldn't buy them because they were never offered for sale - only lease.

Ford did the same thing.  Only that they canceled their electric car project a year before it went into production - again claiming that nobody was buying them.

So yeah, the speculators have run up the price of oil and gas.

I predicted in 2004 that if America re-elected bush that we would see $4/gallon by the end of his term.  I'm not a psychic, but crooked politicians don't change their spots over night.  Bush doubled the price of gas from about $1/gal to $2/gal during his first term.  Why, because he's an oil man.  Letting him be president is like having a fox guard the henhouse.  He makes money every time you fill up.  It was easy to extrapolate that he would double the price of gas again in his second term.  And that's exactly what he did.  If McCain wins this next election, you'll see $8/gallon gas by the end of his term.  He has already stated that he will continue bush's policies.

  11. Ok silly girl, did you forget to mention that the Arabs are making super dough off of us as well???

So we are basically paying them to attack us....

Also do you know it takes alot of money to search for more oil fields to drill from???

Obviously your only think that the oil companies nickel and dime us...  Dont forget that every one shopping at Walmart basically is paying China - so of course thier economy is growing along with their thurst for oil to fill those Mercedes Benz's...  So supply and demand.  Besides since you all keep buying foreign products, it kills the value of our Green Back which makes it less appealing for other countries to purchase so prices for us American go up and up and up...

If you complaining about the oil companies, why not look at the perscription drug companies.

  12. Prices of cigarettes are going up yet less people are smoking, your theory is just that- a theory and a faulty one at that.

  13. Well if working people stop buying gas, they cannot go to work. If they don't go to work, they will lose their job. Then they wont have any money to pay their bills or mortgage.

Then the business's and companies that have no employees shut down.........

It would make the entire infrastructure crumble just so you could prove a point to the oil companies.

It isn't gonna happen. Buy a horse.

  14. how are we going to get to work?

  15. Are you a total fool.  The price of a barrel dropped a tad around me the price of gas went down 2 cents.  If your local station is cheating report them to the proper state agency there are laws against that. It is easy to do a check yourself.  If gas is at $3.50 per gallon then 10 gallons should cost $35.00.  If you have a 20 gallon tank and are sitting at 1/4 or 1/2 a tank then you should need either 15 or 10 gallons.  If the pump reads more then that it is wrong and needs to be reported.  We should all be aware of how much gas are vehicles will hold and, unfortunately, we also must always be aware that some businesses will try to scam us.  We do not export gas or oil to Canada as a matter of fact Canada is one of the countries we import oil from.  Don't know about Japan.  Not with you. I am going to drive my car to work and shop and take my grand-kids to the park.  My life is what is important not trying to think of a way to make an industry crumble.
