I'm in No. California right now, and the sky is a deep reddish kind of orange. It's all over, and it looks JUST like light pollution but I live in a tiny town and my view is of an uninhabited mountain so there is no way it's light pollution. Plus, it takes up the ENTIRE sky for as far as I can see. Also, when I look in the general direciton of the mountains, I can't see them! It's pitch black (and typically I can see them just fine because of the clearness and brightness of the moon and stars). Earlier today there was a fog bank rolling in, but when I look, what would be the fog looks completely black. And also- it is unusually bright out! It's 11:30 and the reddish/orange light is illuminating my house!

It's just kinda freaking me out... like I'm in some sci-fi movie or something. Any explanation would be great!
