  1. Well, that may be something personal she is going through.

My friend's little sister had a stroke and she is still the same, bubbly, cute girl she is today.

  2. Yes it can, and crying is one of the symptoms seen quite often.

  3. Yes having a stroke does severly change personality and can affect moods and emotions. She should speak to her doctor, it could be the stroke or it could be depression.  Many people become depressed after a stroke and she may need to speak to someone to work through her emotions. A major medical trauma is hard for any one to deal with and there are many emotions that people go through.

  4. Yes. The stroke can change her personality, depending  what area of the brain has been affected. Her emotions could be affected as well. She could have some problems adjusting to whatever permanent change she sustained and cries. Have you talked to her to find out what she is feeling?

  5. How old is your girlfriend?  My 63 yearold father had a stroke, and his personality is dramatically different now.

  6. Yes, my grandfather had a stoke when I was little, and he became very violent.  He had to go to a nursing home to be cared for, and he often threw bedpans and food stands at the staff.  Eventually, he injured a nurse rather badly and they had him transferred to the geriatric ward of the state psychiatric hospital.  They were actually pretty kind to him, and his treatment was better because the staff there was trained to deal with aggressive outbursts.  This is an extreme case, but it's true.
