  1. Asprin won't help heal the sunburn, it will just help it not hurt as badly.

Aloe will help it heal.  If it's a BAD sunburn though, it may peel no matter what.  It's just the skin's way of healing.  They make an aloe lotion that you can use.  Banana Boat has a great one.  Also, to help with the peeling, use a loufa or wash cloth in the shower.  Do Not Scrub though, just lightly brush the skin with it.  Otherwise you could really make the burn hurt more from rubbing off too much and irritating it.

As far as the rash goes, if it's really bad in places, apply neosporin cream to it so it doesn't get infected.  Wear a rash guard, t-shirt, board shorts, or wetsuit to protect your skin from the board.

Some people get rashes from their wetsuit.  It's usually because of a seam or bunched up spot where it doesn't fit JUST right.  If this if the problem, try wearing a rash guard or spandex shorts underneath your wetsuit.  It will help with the rash and keep you warmer.

Sometimes people just have a tough time with rashes though.  If it's not from the wetsuit or clothing rubbing against the skin, it's usually from the wax on the board.  You could try switching brands of wax.  Or, some people have just started taking off all their wax, and putting on two traction pads.  The regular one on the tail of the board, and another extender piece in the middle, where your front foot goes.

  2. Believe it or not, taking aspirin helps sunburn. It won't prevent your skin from peeling but it will decrease the pain.
