SURFS UP! Anyone for some terrific surfing?

Well, I am sure that you'll have heard the news! A major hurricane is heading for the Galveston Coast, not very far from my home and whenever something like this happens in my neck of the woods, we all grab our boards and head to the beach. Many people call us fools or being crazy, but hey, its a lot of fun catching the big waves coming into shore and besides that, it helps to keep me feeling young and very much alive.(hope my doctor doesn't hear about what I am going to do, he has advised me to relax and enjoy myself, if he only knew)

Are there any surfers on this Yahoo line? Are you ready for some asskicking surfing?

Besides, my Life Insurance policy is up to date!

Thank you,

any serious surfer worth his salt would keep this as low key as possible and tell no one with the exception of his premo buddies (and even then maybe only 1 of em)

  5. we dont have the waves or the weather for it where I live!!!

  6. Heading to Houston this weekend, perhaps I'll check out the coast if time permits.  Beaches in TX not that great dude, but have at it anyway.  Ride 'em while they're there.

  7. Hi, I live in California.  We get our waves mostly in the winter from storms tracking across the No. Pacific and often in summer from cyclones in the So. Pacific, your norths and your souths.  We find that storm surf kicked up within a few hundred miles of shore is usually pretty bumpy, we like the long organized lines that roll in from storms thousands of miles away.  But storm surf is good, its a lot better than people give it credit for.  Anyway, happy surfin, have yourself a good time out in that warm Gulf water...it just dropped from the mid 70's here to the mid 60's, its already wetsuit time.  Aloha

  8. no

  9. I don't surf, but I know exactly what you're saying. I lived really close to Galveston and Padre Island and when ever the weather turned, we'd head out to take photos and walk on the beaches and stop by the beach front resturants 'cause the tourists would clear out. I love, love, love watching you dare devils out on those monster waves. I'll be thinking about how much fun your having while I'm sitting back, drinking a cold beer, sitting here in the desert southwest... (not as much fun!)  Be careful! I heard the jellys are wreaking havoc on swimmers.
