  1. you should hope to reach the age of elderly you complain about. they don't bother me, and i make every effort to respect them because of their ages.

what annoys me any day at the supermarket are people who aren't paying attention to their children who are screaming, playing, running around like they're at home or out at the park.  what annoys me any day at the supermarket is the person who knows the express lane is the express lane with limitations, and they get in line anyway with a full cart, or  writing a check when the instructions say atm or cash only.  what annoys me any day at the supermarket is people that are too occupied on their cell phones only to make others wait behind them because they're not prepared to handle their transaction.  what annoys me any day at the supermarket is people that have to talk so loud during their cell conversation.

  2. Help them or go around them even if you have to go backwards.

I am really sorry you are even saying this.

But then again, you might never get to be old.

  3. I look at it this way, one of these days that might be me napping in the frozen foods section, so I just take care not to run over them.

  4. I've never seen that before. That would be  a bit annoying, though. But maybe it is hard for them to get the things they need, so it takes longer for them to do so.

  5. I am sorry you feel this way.  If an elderly person is standing in front of a product I need, I offer to help them.  Often they cannot read the labels or find what they are looking for.  Life is way too short to let tiny things bother you.

  6. oh i so hate that. all they are short of doin is having a cup of tea and and a sandwich.

  7. Do I find it 'really annoying'?  No.

I do find it irritating sometimes.

But then I think about how harmless it is and how they aren't taking anything away from my life or my day, so I let it go.

In the grand scheme of things, it's just not that big of a deal.

  8. Elderly people?  Heck, that doesn't bother me, their old, they don't move fast anymore.  What pisses me off to no end are the middle-aged a$$hole soccer moms who barrel into an aisle at full speed, then stop dead in their tracks to get something.  Or they're talking on the phone and stop mid stride in the aisles.  They are the ones that shold know better.

  9. Ask them if you can help them. They probably need help seeing the fine print on the label of something.

Now lets look at this from another point of view.

What if you were elderly and have trouble keeping your balance but you still need to do your shopping so you go on a w/day instead of the w/end when families do their shopping. Why do they do that you could ask?  Well because all the cute little kids allowed to run wild run over them and trip them and rip things off the shelves and drop their snot everywhere and the moms are all unconcerned. Then there are the little ones who are screamers. this cuts right to the soul at times

Then you have the young comers who are shopping who run over us and who make us feel like we are incompetent just because we can't see the dang labels. They sighhhhhh audibly they drum their fingers when our old fingers fumble for our purses.

Lets all just be a little understanding of each other and we will all get where we are going and be able to eat also.

  10. not so much the elderly, i feel bad for them because it's probably the last year they'll be alive to shop. those people can barely walk, see, or hear..do God bless them, i will accommodate them any time.

who i can't stand and want to ram with my cart are the younger (especially soccer mom types) people (men included too) who ramble loudly on their cell phones, not paying attention and putting their carts in the center of the aisle so no one can go around them. i really detest these self centered people.
