SUSPICIOUS ABOUT NEW TENANT?

We rented to a new tenant who moved up from the south and I need to know how to check on them. Are the on-line companies that say they can tell their backgrounds, legal history etc.any good? Any better than others? Any other resources? Free ones? I have SS#

You are doing things backwards - You should have checked his background prior to renting the place to him.. Once he is in, good luck getting him out again.. !

you should do that before you get them in there! and you need to ask and make them sign before you do background check. that is completely evading someones privacy. you should know that!

Really, you should have run any checks prior to letting them move in.

You can search public records - criminal & court, but you cannot pull credit without their written permission.

Unless they are month to month tenants, you cannot evict them due to what you find. You will have to wait until they have breached the lease.
