SW new york bird?

Where can i find some detailed pictures of birds in SW new york. it would need to have some rare birds because we've never seen one like it before. It was a grayish-blue and had a black stripe around the end of its wing and white stripes going along the black stripe. there was a black stripe along its back. If you think you know what kind of bird it was and can provide a picture, id appreciate it.
