Okay. I desperately need directions to Railway Square, George St Stand C. I need to catch the 422 bus to Newtown theatre.

1) How do i get there? E.g. If i got off from town hall station, where would i be able to find it?

2) Is Town Hall station even the closest train station to railway square?

Thank you so much!

  1. You can walk to Railway Square down George Street from Town Hall in a few minutes, although as niknah says, it is actually right outside Central station. It's well signposted from inside Central, or just ask any commuter you see how to get there. The bus stands are all together, they are marked very clearly and they're under a big glass and steel shelter - you can't miss them.

  2. The website below is my favourite for navigating around the city.

  3. Get off at Central. Go up to the platforms where the country trains are (there's Burger King, Newsagent etc)

Ask someone to point you to the XPT trains office and the exit you need outta Central is on the very right of the office.

Then walk left for several hundred metres and you'll come across Railway Square.

  4. Get off the train at Central station heading for the Devonshire st Exit and walk along the Tunnel to Railway Sq/George St exit. The Bus stands are right there and you should find a ticket seller who can tell where the 422 leaves from

  5. Railway square is outside of central station on a busy intersection with lots of cross roads, george st. one of them.
