SYNERGY 4500 - Synchronisation problem - PIN?

I bought a Triple Handset BT Synergy 4500 Digital Home phone system from e-Bay. Have had to replace one Handset but cannot syncronise it to the Base unit, I get the message "Unavailable". I think this is because the default code of "0000" has been changed. Does any one know how I can find out the existing Code or get over this problem ?

  1. Go to www.bt.com/userguides, or go to bt.com/shop, select Synergy and scroll down to find the user guide. I have the same phone and there is a master reset you can do but you need the pin. Not sure but you could try to remove the batteries and leave them out for a day or so to try. Or ring 0870 605 8047 this is a help line number thats in the handbook. Good luck.
