SYTYCD: Was "Betty" the crossdresser for real?

It all seemed really ridiculous (the accent, the outfit), but he seemed genuinely hurt by the judge's comments.

Was he really serious or was it all an act?

  1. I think he was trying to be funny but I agree with the judges; that is really rude. There are plenty of dancers who see this as a true audition to learn a lot of new choreography and meet other dancers, and he was just being disrespectful. I actually wish they hadn't put that on the show because he got airtime which is probably what he wanted...attention. This is just my opinion about "Betty", I have nothing against transvestites or what they stand for. It just annoyed me and I wanted to see some real dancers who may actually get into Top 20 or even win. I think it was just some bad acting, because that outfit and the accent were just obnoxious. Who knows, maybe he was being serious. But really, if he was serious I think he should work on the crossdressing and shave some of that 36 o'clock shadow.
