sometimes( in fact very few times) in soaps and movies they show Girls loving their in-laws as much as their parents. Is it really possible in reality? Do you know of any such families? I personally feel they are all merely idealizations and fantasies.

  1. Well it is possible. I did it I loved n respected my in laws no matter what they did. Took all their abuse, literally just bz i loved my husband so much and didn't wanted him to put in a spot ever.. U name it and I have faced it from my in laws, I still loved them respected them. After 9 yrs of marriage, found out they are conspiring to kick me out of the house. I never doubt the fact that they dnt like me but I never knew this coming, after all I have done.. Cmon some conscious some kind of FAIRNESS.

    I guess not..

So yes it's not always bahu who is bad, saas are 2

  2. It does happen but it's very very rare, and it can only work if the mother in law is content within herself and is not needy and clingy for her son's love.... Read below, it's true...

I lived in Udaipur for some time a few years ago, there I witnessed something unusual. The DIL and her MIL were the BEST of friends, I mean, this old lady was something special and the two of them hung out like mates. It was remarkable. I asked the DIL about her MIL and she said the woman was a saint. Asking further I discovered that this women was content and happy within herself and was not a needy person, she was not jealous of her son's wife and not possessive of her son, encouraging him to be independent and strong like her, the relationship was one of respect for his life and privacy with his wife, she never meddled in their affairs, encouraging them to be independent and to think like independent people...... As a result, the DIL loved and respected her so much for her thinking and for the freedom she allowed them, that they just became inseparable, it was the most amazing relationship I had ever seen before in India..... and being around them was special....

  3. yes ofcourse it is also possible in real life. i have an example of my family. dear its not as such its all depends upon husband & wife relation. If a husband repect his parents his wife will also follow him & if not then again his wife will not.

  4. I think so. I had a nice relationship with my in-laws. But sadly my MIL developed Alzheimers as I was becoming sufficiently fluent in her language to be able to speak to her.

  5. I love my husbands parents the same as my own so I would have to say that people can love there in laws as much as they love there own parents.

  6. Yes,it's real in our house.my sister love her saas more than my mom.and my mom love my brother wife more than us[her own daughters]

  7. forget about TV shows and movies, they get paid for what they do,

but never, its just like a tigress and a goat, no matter who is goat and who is a tigress, but always, if they are close to each other even they'll have something in their mind planning how to explore it. But not 100% you can say 90%.

    :))

  8. should live like mother and daughter
