Sabih Azhar, the coach of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 Under-19 team, has said there are a number of high-quality junior cricketers in Pakistan and named some of the junior cricketers who have the ability to serve the country in the future.
The junior tournament of the domestic cricket of Pakistan finished recently and some of the players from all across the country did well. Pakistan has been looking for a quality leg-spinner, who can be used as Danish Kaneria’s replacement in future.
However, Sabih is hopeful that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abdul-Qadir-c41605, has the potential to deliver the goods for Pakistan after some exposure in the domestic cricket.
While speaking to Pakpassion, Sabih expressed that Usman, along with the all-rounder from Lahore, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754. Apart from Qadir, Sabih is also impressed
with the abilities of Azam.
Sabih said, "Usman Qadir and Babar Azam who have already featured in an Under 19 World Cup. Usman of course is a very talented leg spinner and Babar is a batsman of undoubted pedigree and has already featured in first class cricket."
Pakistan has produced a few amount of high quality batsmen in the past but Sabih feels that there are some quality players coming up and the technique of the junior batsmen is improving.
"As well as the aforementioned, there are a couple of promising batsmen who have shone in Under 19 domestic cricket this season”, he believes.
While talking about the fast bowling talent, the coach praised the performances of Faisalabad’s Ehsan Adil and Lahore’s Zia ul Haq, as both of them have been doing pretty well in the junior circuit.
He further added, "Regarding the fast bowling talent, Ehsan Adil of Faisalabad who is a 6 foot 2in fast bowler from Faisalabad looks a very fine prospect as does the left arm pace bowler Zia ul Haq of PIA."
There are some important assignments coming up in international junior cricket and these are very hopeful signs for Pakistan cricket that some very talented junior players are emerging.
