Sabrina Solis punishes Paula Mingot in Women’s Singles encounter at XXI Pan Am Junior 2012
Sabrina Solis, a budding shuttler from Mexico, lived up to the expectations in Women’s Singles encounter against Argentina’s Paula Mingot and thrashed her in a dominating manner at the XXI Pan Am Junior 2012 Team Event in Canada, on Monday, July 23.
It was the Mexican shuttler who remained in commanding position against Paula in this interesting contest and she proved her worth by finishing off the match in a phenomenal manner with a comprehensive margin.
The in-form Sabrina was at her best as she played to her maximum speed and did not spare any chance for Paula to show her brilliance. She easily ended up the contest in two sets while spending just 15 minutes on court.
In the meanwhile, Paula failed to prove her worth as she remained quivering on court. She could not maintain her focus on court and eventually knelt down to her in-form Mexican challenger in straight games in a lopsided way.
In the first game, it was Sabrina who dominated the pace of rallies without facing any trouble from her opponent and remained successful in setting up a smashing lead of 11-5 until the mid-game interval.
The confused Paula, on the other hand, could not pick up the pace of rallies and remained struggling far behind on score board.
After the one-minute interval, Sabrina gave a shocking treatment to Paula by playing at her maximum potential. She grabbed 10 consecutive points to end up the opening game in a thrilling fashion with a spectacular margin of 21-5.
In the following game, Sabrina continued her killing run on court as she took a thrashing lead in the opening rallies and kept her rival under pressure.
Until the one-minute break, Sabrina was sailing smoothly while remaining far ahead at 11-2 on the score board.
After the break, the Mexican shuttler did not let Paula to find her rhythm by maintaining the pace of rallies at the highest level.
The impressive Sabrina easily ended up second game with a smashing 21-5 score on the board.
The in-form Mexican player punished Paula in this Women’s Singles battle in just 15 minutes with a stunning difference of 21-5 and 21-5.
