Sachin Tendulkar Signs a 20 Crore Deal With Coca Cola
It has been learnt by the sources that the legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar will soon sign a deal worth Rs 20 crore with the international beverage company Coca Cola.
According to the news, Coke will pay about 6 crore a year to the ace batsman for running the promotional campaigns.
Earlier, Pepsi Co. had dropped off the cricket star amid its policy of phasing out the aging promoters and brand ambassadors which also included the sports and Bollywood stars like Sourave Ganguly, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Khan-c71319.
Now, Pepsi Co. has brought in the young faourites like Ranbir http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kapoor-c70248 and Deepika Padukone for the promotion of its Youngistaan campaign.

When contacted to have details, the correspondent of Coca Cola India said, “We have not entered into any contractual agreements with Sachin Tendulkar. We are always in discussion with any number of leading celebrities with regard to their support of our
brands and initiatives, but we only announce formal agreements after they are signed.”
On the other hand, when contacted for the confirmation of the news, World Sport Group, which has been managing the star cricketer’s brand endorsement activities, also refused to provide any comment upon it.
The batting wizard, whose contract had been dropped off by the PepsiCo back in May 2008, has been in splendid form and in the mean time has claimed several world records.

An interesting point about India’s star sportsman is that according to reports, recently he turned down a deal worth 20 crore rupees which required him to promote a liquor brand. In an estimate, it has prevailed that Tendulkar charges 5 crore rupees for
each endorsement.
So far, the 37-year-old batsman is endorsing the brands of companies like Aviva, Jaypee Cement, Toshiba, ITC, Reynolds, Boost, RBS and Canon.
