According to confirmed reports, the Indian batting maestro, Sachin Tendulkar, will be missing out on the Champions League Twenty20 (T20) tournament and will no longer be heading his domestic, limited overs squad, Mumbai Indians, after failing to recover
much from his toe injury.
The batting guru’s designation will now be taken over by spinner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Harbhajan-Singh-c61453, who too had previously been a member on the national team’s long list of injured players.
As for now, reports say that Singh has fully recovered from his abdominal tear and is ready to lead Mumbai Indians in the Champions League.
In Tendulkar’s case, the batter’s inclusion on the mega event was previously in doubt due to his injury, from which the player has said to have not recovered properly and will be sitting out the tournament.
Tendulkar suffered the blow during a practice session, just before the Men in Blue geared up to face the English hosts in the team’s final spell of the One Day Internationals (ODI) series.
The player’s injury restricted his participation from the full 5-match competition; with Tendulkar coming in as the 8th player on India’s list of injured players.
However, with Tendulkar already gone, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rabindra-Ramanarayan-Singh-c83216 believes that the player’s exclusion would not hinder the team’s performance; in fact, Tendulkar’s absence would allow other players to prove their bronze on the pitch.
“Harbhajan is definitely available but if http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mahbubul-Alam-c73802. “The same set of qualities that we have displayed during our earlier matches
in the IPL will count. We are fairly well-prepared. We had a camp in Bangalore before reaching here. The Bangalore camp was very beneficial and the players were able to gel together."
Mumbai Indians, who have already lost out on the injured http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MM-Patel-c1987, are set to face the Chennai Super Kings in their first Champions League match, set to kick off on September 24, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
