After a poor series against England, where the great batsman managed to score just 112 runs in four matches at an average of less than 20 runs per innings, Tendulkar has been under extreme criticism from different fractions of the media and the former cricketers.

Ganguly thinks that the Indian skipper knew that Tendulkar was not going to retire, with Dhoni having the 39-year-old cricketer in his plans against the Aussies.

Ganguly further added that Tendulkar needs to regain his form and not be a burden on the Indian side. The former left-handed batsman, unlike many sporting analysts, still has faith in the legendary cricketer’s abilities and believes that Tendulkar can still
win matches for the country.
