Cricket lovers from all across the world have been eagerly waiting for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556’s 100th ton, but the Master Blaster himself is paying no heed to the hype surrounding his milestone.
Tendulkar said that his entire focus is only on enjoying his game and winning matches for his country, insisting that he is not thinking much about the elusive ton.
"Well, it is easier said than done. It is just a number. But yes, I mean, there has been lot of hype around that and I want to enjoy cricket and I think that is important. In the series, obviously focus would be on enjoying cricket and winning," Tendulkar
told 'Channel Nine' in an interview.
Having smashed 99 international centuries, the iconic batsman is just one three-figure-knock away from registering his name as the first batsman to hit 100 hundreds.
The Indians are currently head to head with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746, playing a four-match series with the second game going on in Sydney at the moment. At the end of the second day's play, the hosts were leading by 291 runs in reply to India’s first innings of 191.
Although, Tendulkar is yet to hit a big one in the series, he is striking the ball very well. When asked about the secret of his huge success at the highest level, he revealed that he begins his preparations for a match a week before the play starts.
"I just pack my bags on the eve of the match. For me, the preparation starts may be a week before the game, if there is not much time between the matches, then you equally need to switch off and switch on before the game. So it depends on the time I have
before a game," explained the Indian batting maestro who was the first one to hit a double century in a 50-over match.
Being the highest run-scorer in both one-day and Test cricket with 18111 and 15288 runs respectively, the Indian superstar has achieved almost everything as a batsman. Tendulkar, 38, called his career a fantastic journey, and shared that he still has great
love and passion for the sport.
