Tendulkar, who has more than 33 thousand runs in international cricket with 100 centuries, expressed that he was over the moon when India became the best Test team of the globe, which was a complete team effort. However, he refused to admit that India got
over-confident.
The little-master expressed, "Players didn't become complacent or over-confident because of the World Cup victory. No. 1 ranking for our team didn't happen overnight. We got there and then we slipped. Sometimes it just doesn't work."
One of the greatest batsmen of the modern-day cricket is still dreaming about overtaking other teams in the longer version of the sport. India will take on England, the current number one ranked team later this year, and Sachin wants to snatch the title
once again for his country. In order to achieve this goal, the legendary cricketer urged the Indian side to raise their game.
"Every player has a role in the side and we will try to play as is expected from us. We will not treat it as a revenge match because any cricket match for us is about winning for the country. We will play to win so that we can come good on our talent and
skill," the former Indian captain said.
