Sachin Tendulkar’s hunger for runs, wants triple century
Indian batting genius Sachin Tendulkar, just doesn’t look to be getting tired of scoring big hundreds, his hunger is increasing day by day and now it has gone so high that he was not content even with a double century.
As an Indian he is now leveled with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Virender-Sehwag-c95429 for scoring the most number of double hundreds for their country but he does not seem to want to rest on his laurels just yet. Sachin wants to score a triple century, a landmark he
is yet to achieve.
He is one of those cricketers, who never look to be getting old. For him age is just a number and he will continue to play till he remains fit. The way he has been scoring runs, it just looks a matter of time when he will become the
only batsman to score 50 centuries both in One day Internationals (ODIs) and Tests.
His desire for that elusive 300 mark was imminent from his press recent press conference in which he wasn’t in a pleasant mood, which is alarming for bowlers because he will continue to belt the bowlers until and unless he makes a
triple century.
Tendulkar, admitted he loves scoring heaps of runs just like any other batsman. But he emphasized on playing for the team as individualistic approach can never guarantee success.
Being a team man is very important you can try your level best to score as many as you can but at the end of the day, if the runs do not help in winning then they are just a waste. He further stressed, that all efforts should be progressively
made for the team’s interest.
The batting maestro, for several years has helped other Indian batsman to play around him taking weight, off their shoulders, which has helped them grow as superstars. There are several examples of players, who went onto become stars
because of the helping hand of Sachin.
No doubt they had ability and talent but players like former Indian captains Sourav Ganguly and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rahul-c83321 Dravid are the biggest examples of players, who have blossomed, under the guidance of Sachin.
It seems as if he enjoys watching young talent scoring runs and never feels any threat. Recently he was seen more delighted for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Murali-Vijay-c78035’s maiden century. Tendulkar was happier of the two players when Murali Vijay reached the triple
figures for the first time in Test cricket. The little Batsman from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 hugged his team mate and talked to him for a few minutes.
These kinds of things help in settling the nerves for youngsters and make them realize that they are part of a team and seniors are there to help them, which ultimately results in bonding the team.
Tendulkar showed the same gesture when left-handed, Suresh Raina, playing alongside him went onto score his first Test hundred against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 a few months back. Sachin admitted that seeing the joy, of an upcoming batsmen, after
scoring their maiden hundreds reminds him of the feeling, delight and satisfaction he felt when he scored his first hundred.
A new player can not have a better batsman than Sachin at the other end of the crease especially when you are trying to cement your place in the team. To watch him bat live just makes the batting look so easy.
Sachin has now scored eleven Test Centuries against the Australians and it is quite an achievement that out of his forty-nine tons, eleven have come against the top side of the World. He admitted that it brings him satisfaction that he has performed so well
against the best side of the World.
