batsman have revealed that his injury is not too serious, and he will be ready to take part in the World Cup.
With less than a month left in the mega event, there have been many teams which have come under pressure due to fitness issues with some of their key players. Earlier the Australian team was under pressure when Michael Hussey was declared doubtful for the
tournament following a hamstring injury.
The Board of Control for Cricket in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Parthiv-Patel-c2159 as he replacement for the remainder of the series against
the Proteas.
Although there was no word from the BCCI, a close source to Tendulkar revealed, “It was just a strain and nothing more than that. The team physio reckoned it would only take a few days to set right, and his non-participation in the remainder of the series
was just a precautionary measure.”
Even though the master-blaster is not a part of the Indian team, the team hasn’t done badly in his absence. After the humiliating defeat in the first ODI, the team won two back-to-back matches to take a 2-1 lead over South Africa.
The 2011 World Cup may be the last one for Tendulkar, as the 37-year-old has featured in five World Cups starting from 1992.
However, his team-mates hope that this would not be the last they see of the star batsman. Opening Indian batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gautam-Gambhir-c58623 stated, “I sincerely wish that this would not be Sachin's last World Cup and he would play one more. All members of the Indian
side would like to win it for him.”
Former Indian cricketer http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bishan-Singh-Bedi-c48133 also praised Tendulkar, and stated that the team should win this World Cup for the star batsman, which will be his sixth overall. He further added that this will be India’s best chance to lift the trophy in many
years, as the team has been doing well recently.
The World Cup will be played in the subcontinent and India has a very strong unit. Many former players and cricket experts have rated India to be the favourites for the mega event, but only time will tell whether the team will be able to cope with the pressure
or not.
