  1. It doesn't sound like you had unreasonable amounts of time off.  If they sacked you before your 3 months probation was up it just shows cowardice on their part because if they sacked you after 3 months they would have to give you 1 month's notice. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about it.  Just tell any future employers that it was a 3 month fixed term contract that naturally came to an end.

EDIT:  mb99 don't worry about English Rose - she seems to have got up everyone's nose today with the cr@p she has posted

  2. Sacked. If you were on a probationary period i think they can do that.

  3. If it was for an agency then it would be classed as temp work, so just class it as the assignment thay has come to an end. and move on to the next agency. Dont fret.

  4. too right, agencies are allowed to choose the best staff, the ones who turn up 100%.

a new employer will want a reference ... you tell your future employers the trues reason .. or learn how to get up on time!

  5. have they said your sacked, if no, well if you have been ill, but they knew about this interview, its unfair dismissal, bad time keeping is there excuse to do it, have you kept bad time keeping, i would phone and ask why you have been laid of, or is it, there is no work, in your line of assignments they will tell you either way,and you need a reference for you pass on to other employer so ask for one.
