Sacramento Kings’ journey towards Anaheim City seems to be over: NBA Update
Once again it has been reported as the franchise, the Sacramento Kings are going nowhere, instead staying at their current city in Sacramento City. The National Basketball Association (NBA)’s several executives told the media that the Kings would be playing
the next season in Sacramento.
The NBA officials said that the Kings’ fate will be decided after the next season as whether they will able to seek the permission from the NBA’ majority owners to move into the Honda Centre in Anaheim City or stay in Sacramento.
The Kings’ potential move towards the Anaheim City is still a big buzz around the basketball world. It picked up pace as the Maloof Brothers were severally disappointed to secure any financial back-up for a new arena in Sacramento for their team. The Kings’
current Power Balance Pavilion has been awfully deteriorated and the owners of the franchise were in search of a new home for the Kings.
The Anaheim Arena in Anaheim City was the best possible opportunity for the Kings. The City’s arena known as the Honda Centre has many luxury suites with up-to-date better facilities for the players and the Kings’ officials. Last week the Anaheim officials
and the Kings’ owners also attended the NBA board of governor's meeting in the New York City in which they deeply discussed the Kings’ move.
In that particular meeting the Anaheim Mayor, Tom Tait and Anaheim City Manager, Tom Wood, were invited to listen the true perspective by the Kings’ owners. The Maloof Brothers presented the case in detail and went very hopeful as this move will be successful.

The owners, Maloof Brothers and the other interested parties of this move were extremely disappointed as they did not gain the enough support from the NBA owners for their movement proposal. The Kings’ co-owner Joe Maloof still seems hopeful and told the
media that he is as anxious as anybody.
The optimism is good for any individual, but the way this story has reached its climax is a big lesson for other teams in the professional league, as they should always approach for the right people to take their matter forward and with best possible effort.
