Sacramento Kings vs. San Antonio Spurs – NBA Preview
On Wednesday night, March 28, 2012, Sacramento Kings will be hosting the San Antonio Spurs at the Power Balance Pavilion.
Spurs, with 34 victories and 14 loses so far in this season, are amongst the top teams in Western Conference and they will be fighting for their 6th straight victory.
San Antonio will step inside the arena boosted with confidence - they outscored Phoenix Suns, 107-100 on Tuesday night. They best part about that victory was all 3 lead scorers, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker along with Tim Duncan
played together for the 1st time in four games.
Coach Gregg Popovich was pleased to see his lead scorers synchronizing with the system.
"I think they play within the system and trust each other enough it comes out pretty good for them," Popovich said, "most of the time."
Tim had a double-double in the match as he tallied 26points to go with 11 boards, while Tony Parker netted 24. Such has been the performances of the Frenchman this season, that even Suns coach Alvin Gentry was compelled to compliment
him as a player worthy to be MVP.
"Tony is probably playing like an MVP more than at any time since he's been in the league, people should start talking about him more for the MVP."
Ginobili collected 13 coming off the bench; he is averaging 12.1 points and 4.6 assists per game in this season. With his 9 years of experience he enjoys a cardinal position in the team.
The big three have struck form just at the right time and this is definitely bad omen from Kings. They however will be stepping inside the arena with a previous advantage - they edged out San Antonio, 88-86 in their last encounter
on January 20, 2012.
Tyreke Evans paced Kings with 23 points and 11 boards while Marcus Thornton and DeMarcus Cousins poured in 17 each.  On the night, the Kings will be relying upon Evans, who is averaging 17.1 points and 5 boards per game in this
season.
Entering the night, the odds seem to be heavily stacked against the Kings, who are at the bottom of Western conference with a 17-32 record and are currently on a downhill journey with a 3 game losing streak.
