Sacre Toi toeing to win Handicap Chase at Market Rasen
Sacre Toi looks to be in the most favourable position to browbeat his four rivals in the Magners Golden Draught Handicap Chase and finish first in the high-stakes Class 5 contest which will take place at Market Rasen racecourse on Tuesday night, March 27.
The Anna Bramall-trained bay gelding is quite confident to cope with the challenges that his competitors including Earl Grez, Anay Turge, Le Reveur and Kercabellec will pose.
Over 2m2f track Good track, these runners will convincingly show their guts when the event starts at 3:50 (GMT). The total prize money reserved for the race is £1,819.
Sacre Toi has been performing well since making his debut in April 2010 with a sterling success in Prix Jules Lemarchand Geny Courses at Loudeac ground.
The dashing horse went on to bag the second and last victory of his career in November 2010. Since then, he has been struggling but the talented sprinter has delivered some outstanding performances during this period.
After finishing fourth and seventh in two consecutive races during December 2011, the six-year-old young gelding elegantly clinched third spot in his last outing on March 11, 2012.
Thus, Sacre Toi has won 2 out of his total 14 starts to date, earning £27,017 as prize money.
For today’s showdown, he seems to be the hot favourite fighter who, if manages to run to his best, can be able to add another triumph to his career.
Among his opponents, Anay Turge and Earl Grez will also be able to unleash decent runs in the race.
Anay Turge superbly earned three runner-up ranks in a row from December 2, 2011 to January 12, 2012. In his last outing on March 7, the Nigel Hawke-trained bay gelding finished third against 5 competitors.
On the other hand, Earl Grez nicely gained a runner-up spot in his last start on March 7, 2012. Though not won, Philip Kirby’s gelding has been performing well since January 2011.
There is expected a tough clash at Market Rasen today. Each of Anay Turge and Earl Grez will struggle for breaking his maiden and the hot favourite runner is supposed to run for supplementing his success ratio. Let us see who gains what. Good luck to all
the runners.
