Sacred heart tattoo? i have a few questions... ?

ive been looking at sacred hear tattoos for a little while, but if you get one does it have to be for jesus? could i get it for a family member, or more then one? if you have a sacred heart tattoo i would love to hear your story on why you got it! thanks :]

I dont have one personally, but my fiancee just got one done as his chest piece. It represents a lot of things to him, not just "for jesus". He changed it up a little bit so that it wasn't so traditional and made it more his own to represent his strength and things that he holds sacred in his life. I think they're beautiful ideas and that if it's something you want, run with it. meet with an artist and find a way to make it your own.

sacred heart tattoos are from catholic religion. representing the thorns christ wore and the love of mankind. i have seen many people change the artwork around to make it there own .if you want one for a family member it is better to put ther name or date or favorite colors to best represent them in the way you want to remember them by.
