Yes, it is sad.  I hope that everyone will wear seat belts in the future.  You can keep a special tool for cutting one off in case the lock sticks or you panic and can't open it.  Far more people who wear seat belts survive than those who don't.  

It is important that teenagers are careful when they drive with a car full of other teens.  Sometimes it makes them want to mess around or take their attention off their driving.  Everyone makes mistakes.  It's sad when someone has to die and the rest of them are left hurt and sorrowing.  I hope they grow closer to each other and support each other in the future.

The church people and community are doing a great service to these families.
