Sad and sick little puppy question...?

Well it turns out my little puppy had an ear infection. :( We took him to the vet and he gave us some anti-fungal ear drops. However, he has reacted poorly to the ear drops. We called our emergency vet and they told us to keep taking care of him like we are. He's had no poo-poo all day and he is uncomfortable from it. Right now he is resting. He just ate some chicken and rice but, just can't seem to poo. I'm worried about him!

We gave him pedilite. He drank some and willingly. Does any one know how long before it will work?!?

Aw, it should about, 6-12 hours to settle into her system i think...

the rice in the chicken and rice can bind him some. It is a change in diet. Just keep eye on him and if he does not go in another day call and ask vet what to do. Pedilite will not make him go poo it will just replace any electrolytes he has lost and hydrate him. The best thing for him to do is drink lots of water to loosen his poo up. I would not worry at this point but if it goes on for a day or two more than I would call. They can give him something or tell you what to do for this. Good luck. rice is very binding.  it is good if your dog has loose stools.  Then the Pedilite would be good...but not for constipation.  it will work out..he is just sick from the ear infection and his system is out of whack.  give him a little time.

sumtimes these things take a few days or a 1 week to start or more

if the meds dont work take him back to the vet maybe try the pet store

iam sure they well have sumthing for its ears.
