Sad to see?

Question

I predicted that Calzaghe would win by decision over Hopkins. Styles make fights. However, I am saddened to see all the childish, racist, high school behavior on the boards here.

I picked Calzaghe for two reasons. 1. He has the style to beat nearly anyone in his divison. 2. Color or race has no place in picking who I think will win.

I wish others could see it this way and leave the bigotry to the cavemen.

Calzaghe landed 33 percent of his 707 punches, while Hopkins connected with 27 percent of his 468 blows just to let you all know

Yeah, the racist stuff gets old, but lets be real, it started with Bernard's crack about not loosing to a "white boy".  Two wrongs don't make a right, but it does even the score a bit.  Calzaghe did what he had to to win, Hopkins was 43 and fought as well as a aging champion could be expected to fight against a guy who throws on average a 100 punches per round.  Most knew going in Hopkins needed a KO to win it, a decision was all but out of the question.  The racist c**p is silly, so laugh at it.  Both Hopkins and Calzaghe are laughing all the way to the bank, the only color that mattered was green, and they both got paid well for the fight.  Leave it at that.

Your exactly right its best to leave the kids who havent grown up yet to argue over race issues, they will realise when they grow up.

Great fight, think the ref let it down a bit but some of B-Hops tactics fooled him i think in the end the best fighter on the night won.

i dont know what ur sayin 'KING'. whiteboys arnt racist, Hopkins is the biggest racist around and got handed cause he was outclassed. so dont even play the racist card.

I agree with you 100 % ----The race card has no place in the ring---I predicted Calzaghe by SD --- Both Joe & Bernard fought a good fight--- The idiocy of it all is that regardless on the juvenile racist rants on board here ---- Both Joe & Bernard each made more money from their fight that any of us will  ever make  in our lifetime.
