  1. This actually has a lot to do with your weight more than just your height.  I mean you can adjust your stirrups to fit your legs when you use any saddle.  It's more important that the saddle fit your seat comfortably.  If you're a very skinny person, I'd say a 16.  If you're very wide, then an 18 will be better.  The average sort of an all purpose size for the normal adult is the 17 (and I'd say you fit in that category...  I know you're only 14, but it sounds like you've already grown all that you're going to grow).  So not knowing your weight or seeing you, I'd guess you should get the 17.  And even if you're one of those incredibly skinny people now, you should probably still get the 17 if you are planning on using the saddle for many years...  I mean you're going off to college in about 5 years, so you're probably going to put on 15 pounds.  And then you'll get married and have kids...  you'll always gain weight, so if you're planning for the future, then go with the bigger saddle.  If you think you'll buy a new one by then, then go with the saddle that fits you now...  when you grow out of it you can get a new one ;o)

  2. Finding a saddle to fit you is only half the job, Saddles don't fit every horse (every horse has a different back).

Other then that a 15 or 16 will be good for you

  3. Best advice is try them all.  Find one that fits YOU the best, because your the one that's gonna be Saddle sore.

  4. You did not say what kind of riding, english or western.  Speed events or show.  There's a difference between each disciplines.   If you were looking at barrel racing saddles and you are within 140 lbs at that height... I'm guess you'd fit perfectly into a 14".   In an english saddle they would be saying the 17-18" and a western pleasure saddle probably a 16" inch (for knothing more than an appearance, not function) and I don't get it!
