Sadler’s Risk to steal the show in Download William Hill From The App-Store Adonis Juvenile Hurdle on 25th February
The Grade 2 Download William Hill From The App-Store Adonis Juvenile Hurdle will be raced by eight runners at Kempton on Saturday 25th February. The two miles’ race has the purse of £12, 073.
Sadler’s Risk, Sadler’s Wells’s four-year-old bay gelding out of mare Riskaverse, has raced her seasonal debut and that also in a very memorable style.
Sadler’s Risk was the evening’s favourite for the William Hill – Home Of Betting Juvenile Hurdle on 14th January at Kempton. Riding with Richard Johnson, the trainee of Philip Hobbs was ahead by seventeen lengths from the runner up of the race, Otto The Great.
During the previous season, Sadler’s Risk was only able to post a victory once and that also in his seasonal debut for which he was entered as a 4/6 favourite.
14th January 2012 was the first time that Sadler’s Risk had Richard Johnson onboard. The four-year-old has the potential to perform today and get entered as a favourite.
Another capable entry for the race is, Dildar, Red Ransom’s four-year-old bay gelding out of mare Diamond Tango. He posted his seasonal debut victory very recently on 31st January.
He won the Bravo Company 40 Commando Royal Marines Novices’ Hurdle at Taunton. The 8/15 favourite of the race was riding with R. Walsh and led the field of thirteen racing by 1 ¼ lengths.
Under training Paul Nicholls, the four-year-old had a reasonable 2011 season with a win and being placed twice out of five starts. He won the Prix Du Conservatoire on 12th October 2010 at Longchamp which was raced over a mile and ½ furlong. Dildar was the 27/10 favourite of the race and led by a mere neck’s margin.
Both Sadler’s Risk and Dildar have a somewhat similar pattern of victories but the fact that Sadler’s Risk won his last race as an evening’s favourite, gives him an advantage of being considered as a favourite yet again.
The rest of the lineup includes Baby Mix, Dark And Dangerous, Hurricane Herbie, Kayalar, Orthodox Lad and Une Artiste. It is a highly diverse mix of talent and potential that has bound the level of competition to accelerate.
Who gets to add another feather in their cap, will unfold soon.
